Day 27 of 31 · Tuesday, October 27
The Ministries Among Us
How to pray today
- Keep it short: pray for 3 to 5 minutes at most. A short prayer prayed with faith is enough.
- Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join the call and pray together. Every voice counts, so don't hold back.
- Read the Scripture aloud, pray the prayer below, then add your own words for the day's theme.
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)
Read more: Romans 12:4-8; Colossians 4:17
Pray
Lord, bless every ministry carried by the people in this church. Give each one clarity, open doors, and strength to fulfill what You gave them.
Prayer guide · six targets
Read the Scripture aloud, speak the declaration together, then pray the specifics by name. Where a line says “name,” say the actual name out loud.
Target 1
Gifts that differ
every member knows their gift and uses it.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:6–8 (NKJV)As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)Declare together
We have gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, and we use them: prophecy, ministry, teaching, exhortation, giving, leading and mercy.
As each one has received a gift, we minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Pray it specific
- Name your gift.
- Name where you are using it now.
- Name someone whose gift is sitting unused.
Target 2
Stir up the gift
dormant callings awakened, and fear removed.
Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

- Name the fear that made you lay it down.
- Name the first step you will take this week to pick it up.
Target 3
Fulfill your ministry
every ministry represented among us finishes its assignment.
And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”
Colossians 4:17 (NKJV)But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
2 Timothy 4:5 (NKJV)Declare together

Pray it specific
- Name each ministry represented in this congregation, one by one.
- Name the person who leads each one.
- Name what each needs most right now: workers, money, direction, rest.
Target 4
Equipped for the work
leaders who equip, and saints who do the work of ministry.
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Ephesians 4:11–12 (NKJV)Declare together

An open door
doors opened for each ministry that no one can shut.
“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
Revelation 3:8 (NKJV)For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
1 Corinthians 16:9 (NKJV)Declare together
He has set before us an open door, and no one can shut it. We have kept His word and have not denied His name.

- Name the adversary standing at it.
- Name the ministry that has been waiting longest for a door.
Target 6
Many members, one body
individual ministries that strengthen this house and never compete with it.
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
1 Corinthians 12:4–7 (NKJV)But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.
1 Corinthians 12:18 (NKJV)Declare together
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.

Pray it specific

- Name any competition or comparison in your heart, and put it down.
